Permit Fees
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025
The Permit Fee is based on Retail Market Value. $35 on the first $1,000 and $15 for each additional $1,000 of value. This is for Building and Mechanical Permits, Residential and Commercial.
- A check should be made payable to the Town of Windsor.
- Credit are processed through Stripe and are subject to a 2.99% + $0.99 service fee.
- E-checks are a $2.25 flat rate
- Cash is acceptable.

Calculating the Retail Market Value for a permit application is the Cost of Labor and Materials
To Calculate the fee for Homeowners making a permit application, it is the cost of materials x 2.
Re-inspection fees for residential contractor work will be $25.00 for every reoccurring inspection if the second inspection finals until corrections are complete.
Re-inspection fees for ALL commercial projects will be $100.00 for every reoccurring inspection if the second inspection fails until corrections are complete.
